Inspection Service Terms
These terms apply to inspection visits, diagnostic assessments and reporting services. They set out:
- the scope and limitations of inspections
- client responsibilities for access
- liability limits relating to inspection findings
Works Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all works carried out by Northern Seal & Joint. They cover scope of works, payment, variations and additional works, and our normal expectations on access, materials and finish.
Material and Colour Matching
Where mortar or sealant replacement is carried out, every effort will be made to match existing materials where appropriate.
However, exact colour matching cannot always be guaranteed due to factors including curing, weather exposure and the condition of surrounding materials.
New materials may initially appear different but typically weather and blend over time. Minor visual variation does not constitute defective workmanship.
Existing Surfaces and Substrates
Sealant and repair materials rely on the condition of the existing surface for proper adhesion.
Northern Seal & Joint cannot be responsible for reduced performance where the underlying substrate is deteriorated, contaminated, unstable or otherwise unsuitable.
Where such conditions are discovered, this will be discussed before work proceeds.
Internal Sealant and Environmental Conditions
The lifespan of internal sealant installations depends on environmental conditions including ventilation, cleaning products and moisture levels.
Northern Seal & Joint cannot guarantee that mould or discolouration will not reoccur where underlying environmental conditions remain unchanged.
Water Ingress and Other Defects
Water ingress may originate from multiple building elements.
Where works are undertaken to address a specific defect within Northern Seal & Joint's scope, no guarantee can be given that other unrelated defects will not continue to allow water ingress.
Acceptance
Acceptance of a quotation, payment of a deposit or instruction to proceed with an inspection confirms acceptance of the relevant Terms & Conditions.
